Watercooling a Stacker???

Hey guys i'm seriously looking at getting a nice silent watercooling setup. Has anyone seen/tried a water setup in a stacker??? I don't want it to look cramped that's my only condition, oh and i don't want the pump just sitting in the bottom i want it hidden. Any ideas??? I will go ahead with this if Phil doesn't start supplying the water chillers.

You should be able to fit a 120.2 Rad in the front drive bays. That way you have the rad out of the way. You could also get a resivour that takes up one of the drive bays.

The res could rightly take up 1 of the drive bays but the problem with putting a rad in the bays is that i have 8 hard drives so that leaves no room for the rad. There is a possibility of putting it in the bottom of the case like this guy has:

Any other ideas guys???

In the front behind the bottom few drive bays.

It isnt the same guy, but to give you an idea:

That is take from this thread:

Also, if you want to go mad and only need a single 5.25 bay, then you can get a 120.3 in there:

Put the wheels on, and you can either fit a 120.2 or 120.3 (cant remember what it was) and install it at the bottom. Seen a few done like that :)

Thanks for the advice after measuring it looks like it could only accomodate a 120.2 so i now ask the question....

Shall i get a 120.2 or a PA160???

well u can fit a he120.3 in the top if ure good enough with a jig saw

How??? I have measured it a thousand times it wouldn't fit because i have 2 dvd/rw's and 8 hard drives. Plus there is the front connection thingy in the top bay.

So the question still stands...

120.2 or PA160???

I have room for either 1 or the other. So you are saying go with the 120.2? Still no idea of when you'll be supplying the chillers then???

Assuming that air-flow for neither is hindered in any way, the PA160.1 will cool better than the 120.2. Doesn't matter what the heat load is, radiators offer a fixed ratio of cooling performance. If the heat load is 50W, then the water will be X degrees warmer than the room temperature. If the heat load is 100W, the water will be 2X degrees warmer than the room temperature. The PA160.1 will give a lower value for X than the 120.2 when given the same fan for fans up to at least an estimated 140CFM/50dBA noise level.

get a pa160 ;)

my WC loop in my stacker

could probably clean her up a little but i'm not 12 so i don't worry too much about aesthetics

have you checked if the PA160 fits in the stacker, i know it wont go in the drive cage thing (i have measured mine) but are you thinking on the floor.

also

marscay, how did you fit the 120.3 in, i cant see how you fitted it, have you cut anything?
