The results are really different. Much lower Min but higher max and average.

thats quite interesting, i dont think the game plays very well tbh, its very very jittery!

ill try with one card a little later on see how it does

Haven't had any significant problems with it tbh apart from the fact that the hair seems to have a mind of its own sometimes.

Hmm yeah you got issues there mate. Just upgraded my drivers to 314.22 (as I'd forgotten to) and disabled Vsync. Here's what I got, max possible settings.



Good old AMD drivers strike again. Did notice that disabling Vsync made the hair go screwy mind but then it's common on SLI given that Tress is a AMD tech.

As above only with Vsync. Seems to be a SLI specific bug tbh.

FXAA is barely a hit on performance.

Still doesn't seem right. The 7970 is supposed to destroy a 670 now yet there's nothing in it even though TressFX is completely AMD lopsided.



There shouldn't be 2-3 FPS in it the 7970 in CFX should be way higher.

Separate them, turn up the fans.

WTF is that really 96? it's a bit garbled for me.

No wonder it's jittery man it's probably throttling.

still hot though, cards are as far apart as possible, and have 2 fans blowing air directly over them, and the case was open when the benchmark was run!

My 7970 got hot tbh. It also got pretty noisy, not something I expected out of a modern low nm card.

I was quite impressed with Tomb Raider. At the quality of the game and how well it ran. There were a few fps drops when the hair effects were close to the camera, but apart from that, pretty good.

Definitely one to play again at hardest level, searching better to skill up sooner. Apologies if this is a spoiler for anyone.

just messed around with settings and stuff, games doesnt play much better, maybe its the 13.3 drivers

but the top gpu was hitting 93 degrees, case was closed at this point!! might have to pull it apart again

both running 50% plus left on auto

I'm guessing any higher and your rig will turn into a vacuum. Atleast that was my experience with reference coolers thus far along the entire 7000 series.
