Here's the thing I've got an occasion to buy used Vapochill LS (This particular Vapo was reviewed in two polish hardware magazines. The price is very very very low. It was used only few times. But the point is that seller told me that It is very loud and sounds a little bit strange... Under this link you can find a movie showing the problem:

Vapo works 100% fine but the sound... So the question is is it normal? Or maybe compressor needs replacement?

HHmmmmm thats sounds not good! I owned a vapochill ls before and it sounded nothing like yours mate! Im not an expert on these and not sure how they work to be exact but if there are fans cooling the inside could they be rubbing something? You would be better waiting until one of the more noligable guys reply to this as there are plenty of em in here ;)

Cheers

There's nothing to be worried about ;) I havent bought it yet. But im considering it. This Vapo + new compressor from Danfoss and Regass with R507 kosts about 65% less than new one from store.

It sounds like the compressor is vibrating more than usual, LS's all tend to make that sort of cyclical noise, but it's way quieter than that.

Whether than means that it is just a case of fiddling with the compressor mounting and it will go away or whether the compressor is knackered and on its way out i dont know.

The compressor is probably a bit loose, and vibrating on the side panel, or somewhere else in the case. If its not that, sounds more like a fan problem (big bit of dust stuck or something like that)
