time for a build.

hi.

sometime during the next 2 weeks i will build my next computer.

the psu(corsair 520w) should arrive within the next 2 days.

the motherboard will be a p5b-e plus, has all the features i need and is a decent overclocker, the only downside is the lack of a secondary pata channel.

the cpu will be a e4300 c2d and will be overclocked but nothing extreme, the amd64 3200+ winchester i have today manages very well 99.9% of the time so 2.5-2.7ghz should be more then enough for my needs and perhaps more when i get some better cooling.

the memory will be [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2048MB Corsair Cas5 TWIN2X2048-6400 XMS2-6400 Xtreme 2x128Mx64,Heat Spr.

everything will be housed in an antec sonata case with the sidedoor modified to fit a 120mm aluminium fan.

will be my first intelbased computer since slot1, the cpu socket is different compared to amd64 but i assume its more or less the same procedure to install the cpu ?

will se if i can get me a better heatsink from the start, have 25-27celsius where the computer are but will be interesting to cross over to the light side again.

Looking good Raven. I wanna get one of those 4300's very shortly. As far as inserting your cpu into the pins, it's an absolute no brainer (there are two lugs on the side of the socket for correct orientation). ASUS use the quality ones, so you shouldn't have any trouble.
