Those little annoying F@H things ..

I use MX4 on everything it's good kit. I also got the Arctic cleaning kit (1 bottle of cleaner + 1 bottle of purifier) and can highly recommend it.

Yeh I use articclean as well, but really any rubbing alcohol will do

. I've only used as5 in the past, but I think it's time for a change. Cba with the "break-in" period and with my experience of using as5, the temps don't really improve after the 200 hour or so period for break in.

i currently use the stuff from Arctic cooling (I think) that comes in a little bottle and you apply it like nail varnish/polish.

Makes things very simple

Ofcourse it will, Thuban is terrible at low locks. 3.8Ghz and above will allow it the breathing room it needs to work properly. 4Ghz gets up to 40k PPD.

On a side note, my FX-8120s stopped being pummelled with 8013s and actually got some decent units, getting up to 22k as opposed to 16-18k PPD. FX-8120s are good as Thubans when they get a decently coded WU.

Hmm, may have to try fiddle around with the clocks. Don't know if I can push 3.8Ghz though, think the most I got was 3.66 with AMD Overdrive

May also order some new thermal paste, need to stick some on server and main rig.

Got my X6 1090T to 4GHz. Temps are @ 80C when folding, is that too much? Already had one bluescreen

Edit: Dropped voltages to 1.415 instead of 1.472. Works like a charm now, stable, and 60C full load

just need some decent WU's now

Mine is stable at 1.481 but 1.52 in reality.

66*c is the highest temperature I've had that's been stable.

Shouldn't go in to the 80s, that's just too much, even for me who doesn't care about exceeding the TJMax by miles.

Hmm, My rig is stable when its folding, but only folding. If i open up Google chrome or something, it'll just blue screen

Does that mean its a unstable clock? Temps are decent when folding too, gets into the 60C's

Northbridge could use a few nudges more volt i think.

I had that at 4.1Ghz. 4.0GHz no such problem though.

Well it didn't BSOD, it just progressively froze up.

My NB is at 3Ghz & 1.35v with LLC enabled.

I've only changed VDDA voltage/CPU voltage in BIOS, haven't touched anything else except for the multiplier. Seems like I may need to refine some stuff in there

Also, got this warning in FAH log:

10:42:35:WARNING:WU01:FS01:Detected clock skew, adjusting time estimates

What does that mean? :s

My points will be dropping off a bit for the next few weeks. To prepare for our new baby, I have lost my computer room. I starting ripping the room apart yesterday so the 2600k rig went down. I'll be continuing through the week so one of my other machines will go down as well while new drywall is being put up. Still not sure where my rig is going to go....

Thats great news though about the new baby on the way. Congratulations! If your PPD falls too much, I still have a few weeks of folding, I can keep the 3rd place spot warm for ya! lol!

Congratulations in advance about the new arrival (*and don't worry..............even if your machines stay off, your child will be graduating from college before I'm a threat !!! )

Thanks guys. I should be excited for a new baby, but I really don't like babies. I was fine with one kid. My wife cried and was depressed for a few weeks until I gave in for a second child. I'm sure I'll love her to death (having a girl) but I can't help think of the nightmare that was my son when he was about 4 months old. I literally slept 3 hours a night for 2 weeks straight while my wife was on the night shift. I was an absolute mess. They say your second child is much easier so I really hope so. My son is 2 and a half now and the best thing in my life. I guess the best things in life are never easy.

Anyway, I think my server is going in the crawl space along with my modem and router. I'm working on moving my PC into the living room, but as we are trying to sell the house, it may be going in the garage.

lol, much appreciated
