Those little annoying F@H things ..

Got an error message on GPU Tracker saying that FaH Core 3 has stopped working. The SMP client will not fold and I'm not sure what to do :/. Using the console client to fold the CPU atm and GPU Tracker for just the GPU.

Now that everything has been working for awhile on my rig and hitting 50k PPD 24hr average, I decided to update my drivers as they have support for ambient occlusion in the Diablo III beta. Now, my GPUs will fold a single WU, then stop. They will not restart until I exit the GPU client and restart it. A new WU will run, complete, then send, then the client will error out again.

I'm not going to revert to older drivers so knowing that, anyone have any ideas? I'm down to 22k CPU only on that rig now.

Been having similar problems here, but not on all of my cards. Seems to finish a WU download a new WU and then EUE as soon as it engages the core, repeats this a few times downloads a new core EUE's afew more times then stops as an unstable machine.

Exactly the same issue I have. Restart and it will do one WU, then rinse and repeat. Are you on the latest nVidia drivers too?

I have that as well

Check this thread at FF http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=20891

Seems to have something to do with the monitor shutting off, I have watched units finish send and start a new one, my stuff only fails with the monitor off.

Went nuts with this all weekend trying to get 2 new 560TI 448 cards up and running, so it looks like it wasn't me after all

I'll turn off monitor shutdown at lunch break, thanks. I normally use the power button on the monitor anyway to shut it off.

So It looks like about 10 hours of lost folding time for me today, restarted both clients at 4AM and won't be home until 6 this evening

Not positive on this but I'm thinking this may be a Win 7 64 bit only problem, my 560TI 384's and 460's on Vista 32 have no issues

And here I thought this was due to my overclocking the 560TI 448's, BTW these cards are beasts just a tic under 23K PPD each @ 900/1800

Blerg that wasn't funny at all,

its running again, on the old WU's

My main rig was running all clients fine 24/7, 5 days straight then died sometime after ~6.35am. Got that error thing again that I've had since about two weeks ago which I think is the same you've all been getting. Rebooted and running okay again now since 4.45pm but SMP is another aweful 8xxx one.

This error has occured even while monitor is on...

That couple of 430s will arrive by Friday btw

second rig was on but i guess i forgot to turn on the console last night

20 hours of non-stop folding after disabling monitor shutdown. That seems to have fixed my issue. Thanks for the heads up, Steve.

I went with the 285.62 drivers that shipped with the GTX 560TI 448's and all is good. Folded all night on 8032's @910/1820 and 23K+ PPD per card

And yes this appears to be a Win 7 issue as three other machines with 295.73 drivers and Vista 32 bit have no issues. Those machines are running a pair of 560's and two pairs of 460's.

Got my first failed SMP WU unit today

rig totally froze, the lights on my keyboard shut off and that was it. Restarted the pc and loaded up GPU Tracker, got a message saying 'unstable machine'

its folded other units fine, must be the high temps that im hitting

I lost a WU yesterday worth 11,000. It'd finished, thought it'd uploaded, don't know what happened to it - I was mighty piddled off. I won't tell you how long it took to crunch that.
