Argh, was wondering why my last 24 hours was down about 1/3rd. My wife shut my folding clients down last night on my 470's/i7. It's OK though, I put her in her place. (asked her nicely not to do that anymore

I was wondering why my PPD wasn't increasing while I've let my PC fold longer than I used to, it's because of those darned 6811 WU's! If I get 6800 WU's I get double the PPD. Trying to fold as much as I can, leaving it on when I'm at school, at work, and when I'm not gaming. Can't leave it on at night because I wouldn't be able to sleep, and my mom is giving me a hard enough time about the leccy bill already so I don't think I can fold more than I do now haha

if you have -advmethods setup in start command or config file get rid of it and the 6811's should stop. they are hot running, like + 7C over a 6800......

Pretty sure i lost 2x a BIG (points) WU(s) 75xxP and a 55xxP on my i5 750

it just doesn't want to send those WU's some stupid ERROR again

Since yesterday at about 2:00PM my rig acts really bitchy... It does not overheat ( a lot of space

upwards ) and runs quite smooth, but after some time ( between 1min and over 2hours ) it

simply freezes... really annoying...

Already run 10 turns in std.Memtest without issues... running now Test9...

OC is i7@20x190 and RAM ( 1600MHz 7-8-7-20 3x2GB ) @8x190...

Voltages are completely fine... I really do not have a clue... running a few other tests today and

maybe starting a topic in the forums searching for help if nothing reveals...

so long

xo

Lately it seems like every other day my machine takes longer and longer to do 6701s. It used to do 2 of them a day and now it's only completing one.

I'll be back pushing close to 100k/ day by the new year thanks to blah and everyone else for picking up my slack

This seems to be the right thread for this question... Is there a limit on the amount of GPU units you can complete in a day (my logic says no) however my sons PC has just said that it exceeded the limit in 24 hour period (its only been on 14 hours).

Any ideas?

ahh yes

EUE limit exceeded. Pausing 24 hours. [UNSTABLE_MACHINE]

what os and system specs and what is the overclock like?

I'm sure it means that it has exceeded the EUE (early unit end) limit. EUE's are generally the result of unstable overclocks and/or heat.

Try it at stock clocks and monitor for excessive heat. If your son is gaming on that computer you may also need to pause the GPU client while gaming, there might be a conflict there. I'm not a gamer so not much help on that subject....

G/L and let us know how you make out.

Hmm ok, did not see the unstable machine part of the message. I will re-address that part again and see what it says as well as check his rig out, but I already have a feeling it will be a cooling issue.

I use CoreTemp and than just set it up that it shows all 4 core temps in the bottom right of my task bar each it's own color that way you can do other things and still keep an eye on your temps

For later Nvidia GPU's MSI Afterbuner is a nice utility, core and mem O'c as well as cooling/fan montoring and control. Have it start with Win it will control your GPU cooling to your custom fan profile. I'm running it on all my GPU's

Had the same issue today again after completion of the first unit, I did not monitor it, just set it away and left it. I will watch it more closely tomorrow and monitor the temps.

im having these same issues with wu's failing this only happens on my gtx 460 been trying to work out the issue im having but it seems it not just me whos having these problems the wu which ive been folding none stop for days now 6808 on both cards the gtx 570 flys through the wu's but the 460 sometimes does one then fails i restart it n it will do another n fail but ive noticed it will also do upto 5 wu before a fail im convinsed its something to do with the two differant cards drivers the 570 only seems to work on the 263.09 driver n the 460 only goes to 260.99 could this be the problem im having ?
