When you get your dedicated f@h rig built, you'll get best of both worlds, gaming and folding![]()
Yup, can't wait for that.
It is killing me right now:
Day 1: Room was getting really hot (rig shut down automatically to protect from overheating) <-- Had to make sure the shades are down and put the fans on high SOLVED
Day 2: BSOD <-- VCORE too low SOLVED
Day 3: Windows had logged me out all programs stopped <-- Not solved ran for 4 hrs according to logs, no idea what happened. Any ideas? When I came back I had to log back in and everything seems to be working... Strange
What about using 2c/ 4t of your 2600k for folding and the other 2c/ 4t for gaming? Shouldn't clog things up too much? Or do the latest games actually utilise all that CPU power?
I could do that. I will change the settings and see how it goes, next time I game.
I don't think the restriction is very accurate though, it will aim to use x many threads but usually just use x equivilant percentage of all threads as it pleases - try it though, might work better for you![]()
Do you have a macro for your k/b or mouse? Maybe something caused it to activate
I don't, I also had disabled the screensaver, disabled sleep in power saving options, the display doesn't go to sleep either (I turn it off manually), just double-checked this... I have no clue what is causing this.
I came home from work and saw the login screen, when I logged back in all the programs weren't running anymore (F@H, CoreTemp, Afterburner, etc.) Pretty annoying... Especially since for the last 3 days there always was something that went wrong.
Ohh well, since this is the first time this particular problem occured I am just going to assume that this was a one-off problem. Wish me luck![]()
My points have dropped by 5000 on my i7/460 rig. I didn't even check to see which client is down in points.

I can only have one rig set up at the moment so I cant check the 2600k![]()
The whole system is only a hair past 10k PPD
Edit:
I just noticed this new GPU work units worth 7718 points is not loading the GPU to 99/100%. It's hovering around 86%![]()
Yep, there is an issue with the new GPU WUs. My temp 460 is only hitting about 85-90%. I read a post about it yesterday on the folding forums.

Bit hot here atm and I'v decided to take the hint from mother nature and rebuild my water loop. I'll be back but not sure quite when, it might be a week or so.![]()
