Thinking of Mountain Mods Project for 2006

Guys,

Been really impressed with what I see with these new MM cases and of course the grey matter is writing cheques my banks wont cash but I now have a few thoughts regarding this beaut of a case.

Is it possible to perfectly align two machs under these (fitted with lian li kits of course).

I am thinking of a mach and mach chiller mounted under the MM case - or an SLI mach and mach mounted under the MM case - or could you mount a mach and PA120.2 watercooling set-up inside the existing MM case and still have room for SLI?

Decisions decisions - but a few ideas that have been flying around the old noggin for a few days now.

So anyone with experience feel free to add what you know and any guidance that you feel is appropriate.

Would need a bit of hacking about, but a compressor + the bits and a 120.2 would likely go in. You have about 220mm from the back of the mobo tray to the right hand side of the case and a good 440mm from front to back. If you need/want any other measurements, just let me know.

We must spend to much time together i am thinking the exact same thing you can get the MM cases from a well known UK dealer but are currently sold out i PM'd Phil asking where he will be getting his from.

I f you check out the project he is working on at the moment for Geo66 they should fit almost perfectly here are the Dimensions - 18x18x18 inches.

I was looking at a MM case before decided on PC71, what i was debating was stacking 2 MM cases and the lower case would be a mach 2 and a water chiller and the pc in the upper case.

Decided against it when started to add up the cost whent way above my budjet, possible do it as next project towards end of 2006.

I seem to remember Phil trying to do this at one point and saying it was a pain in the ass. Think he gave up and put it in the V2000 in the end.

I think me, mav and scorchio spend too much time on MSN together, all thinking the same thing :? Maybe not an SLi mach and a GT but I have another idea I'm playing with.

Why do we torture ourselves with ideas like this and then torture our credit cards and cheque books even more??

Just to add to this Boardy, the Mach II compressor didnt fit inside a MM case without extreme modification to the capillary. But for Geo66's project we'd be planning on using two Mach II's underneath the MM case and possibly a bespoke (smaller) waterchiller inside. It would still be extremely tight no matter which option we go with so the key is preparation!
