The Ultimate Game Screenshot Thread [IMAGE HEAVY WARNING]

Some of Trine 2.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful looking games I've played recently, lots of fun too. ^_^

Youtube compression is pretty bad, i've notice peoples video quality on a few channels i'm subscribed to have all gotten worse recently. Looks like they have the compression turned up to high, it's not like Google can't afford the storage needed for better quality vids.

They spend $500 million a year just on servers alone so they sure as hell can afford it! I wouldn't doubt they spend all that money going from Ivy bridge to Haswell so they skimp out on storage.
Sarcasm if anyone can not tell...

Apologies for the music, I messed up the video's audio so all you could here was Teamspeak chatter and I have awful internet for uploading so I just stuck some of youtube's music over the top.
Max settings @30fps. It used to be much higher fps wise so I guess they're starting to finalize the textures.

so far very nicely, to be fair its not cpu intensive at the moment (i've tried it on my i3 550 and 7870 and it wasn't maxing it out cpu wise). It only really uses 4-5 cores at the moment (hard to tell as playclaw uses all 8)but they've said that it'll end up being very optimised towards multiple core use. Its much more GPU intensive to be honest. It uses 98% of my 280x and only gets 30 ish frames but I'm pretty sure its a couple of recent changes that have caused that.

It depends on which ships you buy. I've spend about $100 (yes dollars) but its about £30-£40 to get a decent ship and alpha/beta accesss (when it comes).
For more information I point you towards the Star Citizen thread. Although mostly dead the information I wrote up is still accurate.

I am, I haven't done anything constructive yet. I found a new fear in that game though, worse than zombies and humans. It's called ladders, after posting those pics I decided to look on a roof of a building and found nothing so I went back down the ladder but during the animation he decided to slide down the ladder to his doom :(

Lol, bet that was annoying if you had a load of gear. If you fall off a roof onto a lower slanted roof you may as well be dead because as soon as you stand up he lies back down again, you can't make it off the roof lol, I just crawl to the edge, fall and die.

Lol it was annoying. I had no food or water anyway. Another one last night was when I found a can opener, disinfectant, compass and loads of food supplies. Saw a body on the road, went to loot it and discovered it had an axe and allsorts. Then I was shot in the back :(

I think they do it on purpose you know, the time the sniper was shooting me whilst I was in the watch tower at the airfield, there was a ton of gear just lying in the middle of the floor, obviously didn't spawn there and was left their by somebody, I reckon the sniper did it to keep you there whilst he took shots.

Its an old bandit trick. I've used it myself ^_^. In the mod you normally use vehicles though but due to how the standalone is at the moment you can only use gear. Simple way to avoid it is to not pick up anything tha t A) is too fancy and shouldn't be in the open and B) looks too good to be true.
