The secret

Can you tell/show us what paint you're using, we might be able to help you there.

Yeah, just a general remark: Keeping secrets and surprising people is cool and all
but if you give us more information we will most likely better be able to help. ;)

Now i am scared alpenwasser aka the GodFather...

Hm, this is getting ridiculous.

as long as the pcb isn't too damaged, it should be possible to fix. You handy with a soldering iron?

I lol'd but I'll gladly take it back if he pulls this off,

wait.. he already did that.. I mean if he solders it back on.

I have the memory that is broken with me, and no, its not able to be fixed.
My idea was to reball it in my oven or try different ways to fix it, but checking in under a microscope there was too many "tracks" from different layers torn off from it.
I was reaching out to get it fixed for him for free.

I could probably replace the track and bake it again to get everything back ,but i wouldnt put them into my test rig to see if they work. If there was only the chips torn off, it had been another story.

A learning mistake for NJB, but hey, i have done similar things before i learned too when i was young :)

I think if he takes more time to do every step more slowly i beleive the result will get better also, and of course with training and experience stuff will get better.
Im all in for trying and sharing to get hints and tips to do stuff better or easier, rather than failing alone and never learn anything from the process.

I want to see more of this!
(edit: the project, not chip tearing)

It's Update time!

Finally i got my sleeving, It looks beautiful, sadly the 24 pin was wrong sleeved and also the 4+4 pin to the CPU, so i'm waiting on my new sleeve, but i have fixed some stuffs.

The Cover to the bottom are fixed and looks a lot more cleaner than it did earlier. :thumb:

Now i just need a good place for my radiator to fit.

Sorry for the last bad quality on the photo.

That's pretty awesome of you! And yeah, these things are just part of the process of modding.
I'm still nervous about finding out whether or not my painted SR-2 will turn out to be a learning
experience
as well.

Yeah! HCP is totally, right, You learn from every mistakes. and I've learned a lot from this big failure, I'm taking it more slowly this time, and i'm already planning for my next mod, which is not to far away from here, atm. :)

But thanks for your support guys :D A BIG +1

Final update!

It's awesome to see that so many people have followed this project, Even if there has been some unexpected failures , the failures have been fixed, By getting a Gigabyte Z77 E-ATX G1.SNIPER 3 and a Intel Core I7 3770K

I want to thank my sponsor

Inet and Bitfenix that have believed in me and helped me to make this build to reality. I thank you so much for that!

I would also like to thank my sponsor IceModz that have sponsored me with the sleeving for this building.

The Secret is told.....

Thanks so much for everything and if you have missed it? A new project has begun!

Sincerely,
NJB Mods

At least the Bitfenix logo is right-side-up now :p Quite like reverse-ATX.

Not gonna lie though, I think the whole question mark thing looks a bit tacky.
