Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige CPU block fittings

Hi,

I purchased a H320X2 Prestige CPU cooler this week and must say I'm thrilled with it. Not only does it look incredible but the cooling performance is fantastic!

The one issue that concerns me is that on the CPU block the silver fittings connecting the hoses to the block. One of those fittings is so tight I cannot move the fitting, not even to rotate it to aid with the hose position. The second fitting is loose enough that I can rotate it and it does wobble a little. Is this normal?

There are no instructions in the box on how to loosen or tighten them so I have contacted Swiftech too.

Also, is it normal for CPU "Package" temps to be higher than the CPU cores themselves? At idle to "Package" temp is about 5C higher but under load it's the same as the highest Core temp.

Thanks!
Paul

If you can't rotate the fitting at all without using force, then there's a very high chance it will leak sooner than later. Probably because the o-ring has been pinched. I would return it and ask for a swap.

CPU package is always higher than cores from my own experience. 5 degree difference is quite normal

Here are some images, although I don't know if they'll help.

As you said tolagarf one of the fittings I cannot move and am worried I'll put too much force into moving it and damage the cooler.

UPDATE:

I received my replacement yesterday and unfortunately that had a small leak and has to be return as well!

Should I stick with Swiftech and give them a third chance and hope it's third time lucky? Or, should I get an EK P360 Kit?

My only issue with the P360 Kit is being able to fit it into my case - the evolv ATX. I'm thinking the Rad could go in the top with the pump and reservoir going in the front behind the case fans.

What's you opinions on these two options and the space issue? Any help is welcome!

Apparently the Swiftech is the best all in one you can get, so I would just get one that works. Leaking water cooling gear is quite a common event I found.
