Hi Guys

Got up this morning turned PC on everything working fine, comes up saying a windows update need to do a restart, so I restart, then I get nothing on my monitor (No Signal) hmmmmm strange, PC is postings ok as I am getting the single beeps just after power on.

Anyway so I try resetting the CMOS, and now my PC won't boot, doesn't even recognise my SSD is there, its not listed in the bios at all, I have tried a different SATA port but still nothing, this is the second time this has happened to me, with a previous SSD......

I don't get it

Have you got another rig to plug the ssd into? Or another hdd to plug into your main rig to see if the bios will recognise it?

Just brought another SSD, all detecting fine...... So I guess it was another SSD death

Just out of interest what brand(s) have you bought? I see you've got the Kingston in your server. Watched Tom's vid when he was putting it together - nice.

First one was an OCZ VERTEX 2, then a KINGSTON V+100, they both died of the same thing...... Now got another OCZ VERTEX 2.

Also have a KINGSTON SSD in my server, no probs there though

Do you think that your psu might be killing 'em? Seems more than a co-incidence that 2, both different manufacturers, go in the same way?

It's a strange one...
