Hey there chaps...

I have a little problem...

Now that Im running my Mach II GT I get a few glitches on starting up my machine.

When all the drives etc are connected eg. 40gig Maxtor IDE, 120gig Maxtor IDE, 74gig Raptor, 2 x Optical Drives, 2 x Case LED's, 2 x Extra case fans, 6800 Ultra and Mach II GT.

The PC doenst get past boot. But If i go into the bios and goto "exit without save" then the pc boots into windows and is then fine. However, "My Computer" doesnt show anything other than the floppy and the raptor.

If i then disconnect the IDE drives and one of the CD's then it boots first time perfectly??

My PSU is an Antec TruePower 550w and everything other than the Mach II GT was used in my last setup without a hitch?

1) What could be the problem?

2) Is my PSU not handling all those connections?

3) Does the Mach II GT take alot of power from the PSU and hence its now not perful enough to run all the stuff and the GT?

4) Would a PCP&C badboy eradicate this problem?

5) Am I doing something sill and have forgot to check something?

Thanx a million!

First thing i did when i installed my Mach2 was disocnect everything but myboot HDD, i also reset my BIOS back to default (re-set the time obviously)

and then i tried to boot and basically took it from there!

I'd also try reseating and doubling up on seal string to make sure you aint letting condensation escape!

Stupud question but is the heating cell that goes on the underside of your Mobo working/plugged in?

Hope you get your problem fixed!

thanx for that axer... the heating element is working tops... so is the GT. It just seems that im not getting enough power from the psu to run all the drives or that I have a conflict with jumpers etc.

I have some investigating to do!

PS/.... on a side not, I have the same RAM as you in your sig. Did you know that the timings should be set to 2.5-4-4-7 not 2.5-4-4-8. Not that it makes much difference, but every little helps ;)

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]I get this message after I have rebuilt my PC

NTLDR not found. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

I was rebuilding my rig when the battery came out of my mobo. Hence the Bios was reset. The after putting it together I get this message on boot.

I have a 74gb Raptor as my Sata boot drive and two IDE PATA drives as storage.

After taking everything else to bits, the system boots perfectly well with all but one on the IDE drives ??

So why is this specific drive causing this error? Anyone know a fix, have aI cocked up the jumpers(even though they havent changed)?

Do I need to tell the bios that im using the SATA to boot from and the other two as storage? Seems kinda weird that it works well without that one drive ?

Thanx a million for you help

Is a typical windows rebuild jobby!

Usually its cuased by a dodgy system crash or if your motherboard doesnt have an AGP/PCI lock on it and its putting the PCI speed up.

I dont think there is a quick fix for this?

I think its a case of rebuilding the OS!
