Right done plenty of case mods in my time and now working on my own case.
Can I remove the rivets while the mobo etc are all still connected up.
Yes seems stupid but do you guys think the psu would pull any charge created from drilling them out, or will the static created be to high. I'm strapped for time atm and I'm lazy as. Lol

Erhm, better be safe than sorry. Don't use power tools on cases with hardware in them.

Yeah I know, stupid question really. Just strapped for time with my baby due anyway and if I strip it all down then the baby comes I can't see when I can get it done. O well strip down it is ill just have to explain to my missus that my rig is my baby 2 lol

I always carry a spare case to hold hardware while I'm modding or cleaning a case. I wouldn't be to concerned with pulling charge while drilling I'd be worried about slipping and nailing my hardware with the spinning drill bit of death.

could make you cry thinking about that one

When I did the mod to the front of my 600t drilling out new holes for the fans i kept the hard ware in there. i took the graphics card out put that in its box then coverd the rest up with rag i then plugged it in with the power off so that it could earth any static drilled the holes out hovered and blew out with an air line and had no problems

Me personally , I wouldn't take the chance , as someone else said why risk it.
How long would it take to remove all the hardware ? 30-45 minutes tops?
Better to be safe than sorry.
