Rescue 1

Shot the final bit of white today as well. Can't wait for it to dry so I can assemble it!

I was initially very upset with the fact my tape line bled in spots and peeled away in others, but TBH I kind of like the jagged looks and think I'm going to keep it.

Ouch!? :o I know I couldn't live with that, it'd be back to primer and respray.

I have terrible luck with paint anyway. My luck it would happen again. I made double sure I set all the seam before I started spraying.

I think it just adds a bit of character.

nah mate, as much as I'm one of those guys saying "but I can live with it" (just see the paintjob on my build) you are representing OC3D in front of fractal and the whole world, I'd redo it, no matter how much it hurts...

I love the colour, but it definitely needs redone, it is a competition rig after all.

The point is for Fractal to showcase modding potential, you don't do that by not fixing mistakes.

Aye I agree, I'd flat it back and re primer it then lay fresh paint.. we have plenty of time left almost 6 whole weeks.

Ah, I've been staring at it for a bit now and you are all right...I cannot live with it because it does look like smack. Headed out to get more base coat and going to get to sanding tomorrow once the paint is properly dried.

Don't feel so bad buddy, we've all experienced the bad paint job.
The colours are great! loving the blue.

Id scrap the idea about the stripe on the vents btw - there is no way youll have the patience to mask that out properly.

If anything maybe look at painting the vented area blue?

That's actually a pretty good idea, painting the vented area all blue. would act as a stripe in it's self.
save yourself some sanding too :)

Solid plan. After sanding for what seemed like hours I couldn't even thoroughly sand the vents due to space. Plus that was one of the bleed through spots.

You don't think that would look off at all with the striping?

Youre going to have to mock it up or rely on your minds eye

Youve got the chance to total redesign now you have to repaint.

Yea, I think I will play a bit with my render before shooting more paint. Definitely don't want to have to re-sand and respray again if I don't have to.
