Rescue 1

Very nice. A sweet performance boost especially when they really had no obligation to do both. I had an XFX 8600 back in the day (still haven't played Ghost Recon that came with it) but it was a great card. Shame they don't do Nvidia any more sounds like a good company to deal with.

They were most certainly pleasant to deal with. Even offered the second card after I made the mistake of forgetting to check the box on the RMA form that stated the card was used in Xfire.

Also, these new cards look super simple to pull apart. It looks like I can pull the fan shroud and I/O plate off without actually taking the cooler off. Which means I will be painting it to match the build eventually.

Sounds like XFX gave you the 5 star treatment :) I must say their customer care has come along greatly since I first bought any of their products.

Looking forward to seeing your new cards sporting the case theme.

They have certainly earned any of my future business as far as cards go, as well as my recommendation to anyone looking for an AMD graphics card.

Small issue:

I've hooked the second card up and suddenly 2 of my 3 monitors aren't detected. They are connected via the following methods:

DVI to DVI - not detected
DisplayPort to active DisplayPort/HDMI adapter to HDMI - not detected
HDMI to HDMI - detected.

Any possible causes?

EDIT: the DisplayPort monitor was detected for BIOS operations but not in Windows.

Disregard my last, I got the monitor issue sorted.

I had originally thought I was going to paint the fan shrouds white and the I/O plates blue like my old cards, but now I'm not so sure if I want to or not.

I like the way it looks with the black GPUs but it maybe needs something to break up the colour. Maybe some very fine Blue and White pinstripe vinyl along the top edges?

Highlight for me is still the SSD mount. I really like that.

Thanks guys.

And jimma- I love the SSD mount too. Thanks you! I'm not good with detailed painting and TBH if I paint it, the shroud will be white with maybe, key word maybe, some easy blue accents via vinyl. And the I/O shield would be that metallic blue that the stripe on the case is done in.

Currently running heaven benchmarks. Temps are staying well under the 6970s and I've got the fan settings on stock. (The 6970s were set on a wicked curve and sounded like jet engines under load). Averaging 80fps on medium settings. About to run ultra.
