lol 2000 rpm hey i hv a 200 gb hdd hitachi aswell makes some noise but is very cool never went over 20 in summer dont know why

My hitachi is amazing. Fluid bearings ROCK.

I cannot hear this thing under load, nor can I feel it vibrating.

I have acoustic management on it enabled.

yeah my maxtors fluid bearing motor is pretty damn quiet, no complaints with this hard drive

The new WD's are great also, I put my ear to it and I couldn't hear anything (fans off)

Same. My new WD also RIPS up the benchmarks with burst speeds topping single raptor's.

my maxtor with fluid bearings make one hellova screaching noise whenever i do anything hard drive denanding

ioinlces thats cuz yours dont have fluid bearings, which is why it clicks and grinds so much.

it does have fluid bearings, all maxtor dimondmax 9's do
