Prometeia Problem

I purchased a Prometeia Mach 1. The first start up in the morning the tempature rises to 40 Celcius then shuts the system down. I wait a few minutes then turn it back on and it works fine. I achieve temps at -43 C.

The problem it shuts down during the boot process. Is there any way to power the prometeia unit before the pc at a resonable cost

Thank you

The only way to power the prommy without using the PC power supply is to buy a second cheapo PSU. My mate Aterion on here is using my old Q-Tek from my first system to run my old Mach1 with his P4 setup. This would solve your problem I think but you will need to put a jumper between 2 pins on the PSU to make sure it turns on without the PC power switch. Once it hits a nice temp turn the PC on as normal.

Hope this helps a little and welcome to EP-UK by the way :).

Prometeia

I did hook up an AT power supply out of an external CDRom drive to bypass the reset/hold wire to the controller. The reset wire stop the PC from booting up while the tempature wasn't at -33C. Now the unit works fine I just have to remember to turn the prommy on and off when finished. My real concern is my wife forgetting to turn it on and burning it up. I have some protective software but not to confident in it. case. As far as the clear case goes I took it apart to make some modifacations to it. I am doing the work at my inlaws machine shop. I have the sides and back made.. I am not looking forward to moving the Prommy from the stock case to the Clear!!! I will send a before and after pic

thank you

Now that my problems are corrected, I said that I would post some pics. I cant seem to get the pics to come out right cause of the lights in the case, I will post when I figure it out
