For that many drives you have to get a raid card or just dont bother. You will never need that much bandwidth on a drive either.
Its just a dreamlist. In the real world a well built rig with 2 drives would be as fast.
My server does 1.2GB/s and its utterly pointless for my needs tbh!
Well aware of the Raid Card issue, Using Paul Curry advice we were able to find one that should fit the bill.
(If you do not know who Paul Curry is go look at the SSD awesomeness video from Samsung.)
In all honesty that is not a dream list but a goal I want to accomplish
A lot of computer techs that once they feel they have reached the pinnacle of there skills they stop.
Such as case and point the A+ certification from Comptia, they realized that most computer techs that get Certified.
Stop studying and stop pursuing computers cause they have gotten to that point.
Hence why they have just recently changed the certification progress.
If a person got certified in A+ or anything 2010 and lower, they are grand fathered in.
And will always have that Certification.
I however am planning on getting Certified this year in 2011.
Which means I got to retake my test every 3 years to keep up to date on ever changing technologies.
This computer to me represents my goal to keep growing and keep changing.
It is no dream machine, it is a reality machine and I shall accomplish it and grow stronger.
That is why I study from other people, Paul Curry, The School techs, and also why I am on so many forums.
So I can keep pursuing knowledge and maybe even someday change the world.
A simple 3-4gb computer speed is proof to me that I can overcome the challenge's I've placed in front of me, or, simply.
Challenge's I want to overcome, you grow when you are faced with a challenge to constantly challenge yourself and grow stronger.
It not only is one of my motto's but a real life lesson as well.
