Project - StarCraft Tribute

Never done watercooling but i do know a few facts about it, biggest one being that the res must be above the pump so it is always being fed coolant. Though i do not know how you could do that as it seems like you are space limited unfortunately:(

Who will be beating this build?
There are many talented modders out there that turn out amazing projects. Glad to hearing that you think my one is one of those :D it's very hard to do a project that everything is 100% perfect, though my goal is to achieve that.
I don't play star craft but... WOW. Defiantly allot of hard work gone into that! Well done!!
Thank you! Always nice to see this project being appreciate amongst the people who don't play StarCraft and relate to it the same way. Cheers
This is absolutely brilliant! Very well done, you are very talented! :)
Thx man! I think it's awesome that you like the build.
Im always learning and looking to improve :D
UttermostHolyCrap...... V2!

Hej Johnny - vicket bygge! :)

About the pump - Do you have any room inside the bottom of the case for it?Could it be a solution to raise the case with some sort of feet - make an extended bottom/compartment, and make a mount for it there?
Haha tack så mycket :D!!
I get what youre saying, the problem though is not the height, it's the width of the case/bottom compartment.
I misscalculated it in my brain, didnt actually think it's would be a problem. My bad and now I have to fix it in some way.
This is a piece of art, not a mod :D
:D hoping for a masterpiece in the end:D
Dude that airbrush job is ridiculous, the build is a true work of art and the paint job throws it over the top... Very nice work bro and this build is most definitely TOP SHELF!!!:)
Yes the airbrush artist is sick talented. Thank you so much, TOP SHELF!!! I like the ring to it :D
That is awesome , speaking both as a starcraft fan and massive pc enthusiast absolutly off its head
Woop Woop goo sc and pc enthusiasts :D tyty!

Due to family emergencies I am not located at home right now so not able to work on it, won't be back home for atleast another week..:(
Argh.. I wanted to work on the project so bad since it just arrived back from the airbrusher.
Thank you for following:)

Sorry to hear:(

How could i not follow this? I'm jealous i'm not that creative lol:)
Thank you for your gesture:)
Try to hunt down the creativity in you ;) I'm sure you'll find it somewhere:)

Update!

Hello everyone! :)
Here's a little update on what I've been doing the last day or so.
The SLR is out and running somewhere so the note 2 got the job today.

A overall shot of how it looks at the moment.

The majority of what I've been doing is to find a solution on how I will solve the reservoir and pump issue but at the same time get it to look good.
To simplify the mounting of the res and also give a nice and neat way to hide some cables I cut a metal plate to sit over the rubber grommets.

Enkel plåt utskuren men obehandlad.

Another metal plate, though this one was laser-cut. Unfortunately the result wasn't acceptable, so I will get a new one done.

Used some foam to simulate the hight of the res.

Thinking about if I should reproduce this plastic lid in metal? Either way should I paint it and how?

Some test sleeving, not quite sure yet how I want to do with the sleeving colors and combination.

I think I have decided to go with having the pump where the HDD cage usually is placed. I will remove it completely to get it down in height some more. Because then there's a minimal tilt in the right direction. It shouldn't be a problem. If so, when filling up the gravity force/water pressure will give it all force it needs.

The drawback with this is that I don't get a single HDD slot available. Either I'll have to go hardcore SSD solutions or find some other space to push it into, however that's unlikely since this case is already packed^^.
When removing the HDD cage the aesthetics is drawn back, to solve this I will cut out a 3:rd metal plate to cover most of that side. Then I must find a nice way to let some air trough that plate or somewhere else so the front fans can bring in some fresh air.

One last thought before I sign out, should I go for a black finish on all the new plates or should I go the extra mile and get them painted like the rest of the theme even though it takes longer time?

Thank you for all the feedback, helps very much!!
Until next time, take care and mod on!
Johnny

First of all awesome , absolutely awesome build , i think you have gone that extra mile with everything else and its paid off , i think u should get the plates painted the same as everything else

this build looks...FREAKING AMAZING!!!

I can only hope to one day be as creative and lucky as you to do something like this!

Keep the updates rolling in! I'll be checking them all out! :D

Notice how the metal is scuffed up? I would scuff it up more instead of painting it to give it that rugged look and even a tactile feel. To give the metal accents you could diagonally cut into the metal to show the painted HDD metal. Also if you cut out the internals of one of the HDD cages it would allow room for the pump and even other internals and would still allow airflow through the cage.

Thank you! I will probably go the extra two miles to make this as good as possible ;)
Great work, looking good. fantastic eye for detail.
Thank you very much for your compliment!

AWWYEAAAH!!! :D I am sure if you just put your mind to the task you will come up with something excellent! :D

that looks great for any SC2 fan
Great, that's what I'm aiming for!! ^_^

Sorry had a little hard time getting all so I'll break it down.
It would definitely improve the feel to it also the looks by all means. What I'm afraid of is that I will ruin the protective coat and maybe to much of the paint job. I will be thinking about this and see if I dare doing anything to it since the coating costs more then my life
I didn't get it from the HDD part, can you please explain a bit more?

those airbrush graphics are really awesome

Thank you! Mad props to the airbrush artist, http://www.dmfinearts.com/

Now only if it was Heart of the Swarm themed:)
edit: not a huge starcraft fan so i do not really know if this is heart of the swarm themed or not:p
