Project: FROZEN NIPPLES

thats a point. can u try it with like 400 watt heatload. see how well it handles, cause then u could cool gfx and cpu together?!

Mate have you not seen I am using a 210W heatload to test the unit 210W that is quite a lot of heat phils unit would hold that heatload at 18-20 degrees this will hold it at -0.6 degrees???

Yeah i saw that, but was thinking that with a CPU and GPU you can quite easily get the 210W and higher, especially with approaching dual cores, SLI and now Crossfire. Do you know what the limit of the unit is in terms of heatload?

G

I see your point but if you look at Phils unit his was tunned for the same heatload but could do 18-20 degrees however with two 512 ultra's and a clocked cpu it was going sub 10 degrees

S I dare sy this will handel anything you can throw at it I can stick 440W onto it but I am sure you would never hit that the new cpu's run cooler than the older ones

I dont think that's the case with all CPU's, and it seems that dual cores can ramp up huge heat output once overclocking (Smithfield is too much heat for a GT once it gets to about 4.4GHz) and with the reports of the G70 putting out 150Ws atm (supposedly).

If you know what system you are going to be putting on it then that's fine, I was just thinking that for future proofing and the highest flexbility may more capacity would be best.

Is the capacity just the same as a stock MachII?

G

No neither a stock or gt will hold 210W of real heatload both fall over I have tested this a r507 modded and tunned unit will hold 210W at around -10 to -15 degrees real temps and a chilly1 modded one holds 210W at around -20 to -25 in my experiance

Oh i see, so you have changed the charge level, when you said that you hadnt changed the r134a i thought you had just kept the stock charge in there.

How cold can your antifreeze get before it freezes (or gets too thick to pump and flow properly?) Does it have the same consistency as water?

What is your next move on this project gonna be? It just gets better and better atm :)

G

I compleetely changed the head on it mate so I had to remove the original gas to work on it :)

At the moment the antifreeze sludges at around -14 becomes too thick the consistancy is very simular to water as it is the same antifreeze you stick in yer car

As for what I am doing next I am unsure as I want to sell the unit but until I get a buyer I am unsure what case to put it into as there was a plan to put it into a v2000

Well I have found I can hook the unit up too a mach1 controler so you can set the set points ie you can set it so you will have no condensation or set it for a slushy machine depending on your needs :) this is ver very good news in my opinion so if you dont want condensation you could tune the system via the controler for what you want:D

Score, that is good news.

G

That means I can tune it for as low as it can go and then whom ever ends up with it can have or not have uber uber cooling :)

Well the chassis arrived in a bit of a sad state a few days ago it's a mach1 again unfortunatley I didnt take any before photo's

And here is

Custom front mount shhhh its got a scratch lol

and the reason for the slit all the way across is incase he wants to mount lian li panels :)

Custom rear with switch

That is VERY nice! To begin with I thought that was a fine mesh grille at the front, then I realised it was the chair underneath, Doh! IMHO, A fine grille at the front would look very good :) But that aint my decision :)

Kenny

The front will be taken up by the condenser or rad if you like then I may have a lian li kit thrown on it ??

That works too :)

I`m definately not criticising, but have you thought about designing your own covers for the projects you think up? Some people might look at a Lian-Li kit and think..."Mehh....Prometeia in there.. seen it before", when whats underneath is something much more individual? Though..I doubt many people look at phase-gear and think "whatever..." :)

You know what I mean?

Kenny

Hi Fatty!

Hows it all going together? would love to see how its looking and how your going to mount that container :) hehe.

Yeah I have thought about my own chassis but I am too busy to sit down and design one not just that but then I would have to get it built which would then add to the price loool

As for the container it will mout where it is but inside the mach chassis all fits in there nice and neat :)

People gotta pay for quality and design innovation- You know that!:) If the gear inside is good enough, there`ll be a buyer :)

Kenny

Another minor setback the controler just will not fit with the hx where it is ......So I will either mount it in the rear or move it up higher :)

Bad news sorted all the other problems braided all the cables yes in blue then pop goes the controler noooooooooooooooo!!!! lucky I found a place that sells new ones cheapish will do a pic soon of the braiding
