Project: Defiant

Looks great ShortAlient. This thread brings back good memories from the old days of building wicked badass custom PC's.

From Germany. I also have some black that I am using for the light and fan wires. It is also very exceptional. Pics SOON! Just about finished.

Well with this phase of the build.

OK, well no good camera so I took a few shots with the crappy camera again. But I got it... "done" It will be getting a bit more work, but at least all the major parts are in under water and looking extra sexy. I'm very pleased with the progress so far. There are a few things that will be added later on, fan grills, probably some more acrylic to clean it up a bit and really need to get a SSD. I'm pretty much tapped out and tired of being broke so I will probably wait for a couple of months before I buy any more parts for this money pit. It feels good to get all the water cooled bits in place though. Its sooo quiet.

Made an acrylic mounting plate for the pump. It will get some finishing touches later on.

And of course you know this poor innocent victim.

I have found that one of the hardest parts for me is always deciding on loop order. I always want it to look good, but I also want it to be as efficient as I can.

After a whole bunch of wire management, I don't recommend this if you want to get a build done in a timely manner, but it looks soooo nice.

A little work with some lights can go a long way.

Damn you. You make me want to buy compression fittings. It would be sweet if Bitspower sponsored me. The compression fittings are like $6 each. They look awesome though. The rig looks amazing with the black and white contrast.

The attention to detail is amazing. The cable management behind the motherboard is better than some systems I've seen. No wonder you're broke.

Nice job - really nice.

Very nice indeed.

The bit that really made my chin drop was the cable management on the reverse of the mobo. I'm a bit anal OCD myself that way so appreciate how hard it is.

Chapeau

looking sweet, love how clean it all is! Hope mine comes out as clean as yours. Truely Yummy!!

Just take your time with it. I'm sure it will come out great. Dont forget the pics!

YES! Cable management is a pain and takes a load of time, but it is worth every minute once you get the result you are looking for.

So I did a couple of bench runs to see how the computer was running.

I'm going with... Not Bad.

3dmark Vantage

I think I can get it to push a little harder, but for now I'm just getting it broke in proper

The longer it runs the more it likes higher overclocks. It really sits comfortable at 5.0ghz but I will need larger radiators before I can do that. I really don't want to get rid of the nice filter system in this case because it works well. I might have to change out to a couple of thick rads though because the more I play with this system the more I like it. Overclocking is boring with this system but it runs really well.

Wow that is one impressive rig. Love the looks of it. The only minus, i think, is the green coolant. Rest is so sexyy :-)

UGH, I know

When I was changing everything out I flushed everything individually, but I missed the 360 radiator

So when I poured in my nice new clear coolant it was looking really good. Then I turned on the pump and

It would really be a waste to ditch this coolant, so for now it stays.

Yeah i understand. Anyways, congratulations with an awesome rigg. Really nice work. Im about to order my cpu block now and compression fittings(exited) :-)
