So, first let`s have some introduction. This is my first mod. Before i have only modded my old Nokia 3310. This mod i am taking seriously and it has two serious criteria to meet:
1 - It will be finished
2 - It will be nice
My desktop didn`t had a case and my workhorse just decided to die so i took advandage of both situations and i decided to mod my Powermac G5 into PC. And not just to fit a atx mbo into a mac case but to do real case mod. I have big plans for this.
So let`s start.
I think everyone know Apple`s G5 case design so there is no need for introduction.
This is my G5. It`s name was NCC-1701-C. Now he has a code name Apple Powermac FX ( it was Gi7 but i changed the planed CPU ).
And there he is

and the patient on the desk

one cpu out one to go
that psu is one ugly bastard

and back to our patient, now without any withal organs

coffee i need coffee ( it is 0,5 L coffee mug, my standard morning dose )

screw by screw i am taking him apart
That was a really good feeling. Take Macintosh into parts one screw after another

That Apple must go!

And i found a nice spot to mount my psu
also one old Antec case donated his mbo tray and backplate
and meanwhile i got some putty
Next:
some cutting, drilling, welding, sanding and painting.
But before that i have to get rid of snow. Does anyone need snow?
