So, first let`s have some introduction. This is my first mod. Before i have only modded my old Nokia 3310. This mod i am taking seriously and it has two serious criteria to meet:

1 - It will be finished
2 - It will be nice

My desktop didn`t had a case and my workhorse just decided to die so i took advandage of both situations and i decided to mod my Powermac G5 into PC. And not just to fit a atx mbo into a mac case but to do real case mod. I have big plans for this.

So let`s start.

I think everyone know Apple`s G5 case design so there is no need for introduction.

This is my G5. It`s name was NCC-1701-C. Now he has a code name Apple Powermac FX ( it was Gi7 but i changed the planed CPU ).

And there he is

Interesting project, not sure on mounting the PSU straight in the front as you can see through it though?

Thank you. The first stage isn`t even finished and i have plans for next modding stage.
The tray will be made of plexiglass and i have to order some cfc to make hdd rack.
Oh yes and i definitely have to buy one of thous modular power supplies.
I`m thinking to order Fractal Designs Newton psu and some sleeves, maybe metal ol carbon sleeves :P
Yes, i have big plans for this case :)

@SPS

When it is finished no one will notice the psu.

Some update,

today i ordered my new CPU, AMD FX 8320.
For mbo i will use Asrock 970 extreme 3 from my previous build until i get Asus Sabertooth from Germany in 2 months and for graphics card my old Nvidia 610 ( i`m not really a gamer so this will work for a while until i can buy quadro 6000 ).

Also i got a crazy idea tu make mbo tray from glass.

That case is screaming to get a rad modded in the roof !
You need to mod a big window in there aswell ( to get rid of thr apple).
The case also reminds me the bitfenix prodigy (handles)

Good luck, and keep us updated.

Are you seriously getting a quadro or are you joking? :p

Quadro 6000. And i would be happy if i could also have some Teslas ( at least 3 of them :p )

Thank you. Well i guess in few days stage 1 will be finished and after that i can move to stage 2 and collecting money for stage 3 ( carbon, water cooling, airbrush )

That case will get radiator but not mounted on roof.

I agree, that apple must go but it will make space for some hirigana :p and one samurai :p

I am a mechanical engineer.
I know, and in Croatia it is 30% more then i EU or USA. That is why i say until i can buy one.

Thank you. Today i removed some Apple parts from the case and tried to make a plan for mbo tray from plexiglass ( pure glass was to expensive so i switched to plexiglass ). Does anyone have any suggestions for it ?
