hey guys, just got done finally with all the set up, and cable sleeving and still have it running right now after modifying the loop a bit... Testing for leaks again.
so the only leak i've found is on my x-res top. It's an EK d5 xres 140 top.
I hve the return in the bottom and a plug on the top of the res. The problem im having is during operation, all is well no leaks anywhere. But when I shut the pump down I hear air pushing out the top screw in part. I have checked everything, took apart and all. The o ring seems to be ok and sealing good. It just seems like the pump is building a ton of pressure causing the air to escape out the top on shut down. Any clues or ideas would be nice, as of now, I just loosened the top plug to let air out when I shut down. Then tighten back up.
Thanks guys, hopefully posting pics tommorow.
By the way, Idle temps on the I7-950 @ 4.0 ghz are around 35 celcius. Its hot in here tonight, and after 1hr of prime no core was over 56 celcius. Furmark took my graphics card to 60 degrees top. Completely worth it. Hope someone can help with the res issue, maybe it just needs a better thicker oring.
I'm currently reading a thread almost exactly like mine, says its just air and after a few weeks should be fine. Sure hope so , dont like the sweating from the top of the res. Doesnt do it while running, just on shutdown.
