Pets corner. For all of our furry friends.

Me and my girlfriend just got our new family addition. A Mastiff x Rottweiler called Molly :D

She's a handful but we lover her!

I tried adding a pic but imgur appears to be getting ridiculous traffic at the mo so here's her instagram :p

Argh you are making me clucky stop it ! she's absolutely gorgeous and what a beautiful colour.

We (my wife and I) talked about getting a dog about a year back. Thing is it would mean lying to our landlady (which as Aspies we find pretty much impossible) as well as all of the pee and shee. Obviously walking it daily and training it would alleviate the pee and shee but then there's the lying and the motivation to walk something every day even when it's freezing which we would also struggle with :(

We were thinking about an "onky". French bulldog IIRC? dunno, lady's friend Katy has one and it onks like a pig so we call it onky.

I personally would like an English bull. We did talk about getting a chihuahua though as they crack me up with all that shaking etc.

But yeah, all the time we are here we shouldn't have animals really. We rehomed all of the cats because of that.

Completely forgot about this thread, will have to post some updates. Notably that we've now got 4 dogs lol >.<

It's a LOT of work but she's a beaut

If you want a dog there will come a time when it'll all just click and you'll be able to get one but def not worth ing off the landlord for :p (well maybe a bit ;) )

Unfortunately because we rent we can't have Dogs or Cats, but on our honeymoon my Wife fell in love with Phyllium (Leaf Insects), so for her Birthday last year I surprised her with a Terrarium and ten baby Phyllium.
You wouldn't think it, being invertebrates, but they do seem to have different personalities, and are surprisingly reactive to us, e.g when they see us looking in at them, some of the males will come up to the glass to check us out, and the females turn their heads to keep us in sight.
They're really docile and don't bite, and they have a fair life-span of 6 - 8 months for males and 8 - 10 months for females. Super easy to look after, too.
This is what they look like:

Cool, that is a bit different. Never owned an insect as a pet myself.

naaaa fam. That's a leaf... ya not foolin' anyone

lol

Lol SuB, you missed a trick there, you could have said you didn't beLEAF me. :P

WYP, they're fairly easy to look after if you ever fancy giving them a go. All you need is a Terrarium / old fish tank that gives them enough room to have a mooch about and put in a couple of branches of Bramble once per week when you clean them out and that's it. Spritz the Bramble once per day to keep the humidity and moisture levels right and they basically eat the Bramble they live on. Great alternative to Stick Insects or as a first pet for kids.

They do look cool. Amazing how Nature just up n decides that this insect should totes look exactly like a leaf, even down to the brown 'off' bits.. so clever.

I have a waif and stray cat that decided to move in, neighbours were moaning and going to phone RSPCA to take it away as it kept going in houses taking food, so I decided to feed it now it only leaves the house to do what it needs, sleeps on my son's PC chair and on his lap when he is sitting in the chair

Sounds like an adult film :D

Oh man, didn't think of that.... maybe tick safe search before Googling, lol! :D

That's really cool, man. Not many people would do that, kudos! They often have the most loving personalities, too.
