PC won't put out Display signal

Hey guys,

Today I assembled most of my new PC (the green parts up top in my Sig and the non red parts down below, except for one 290x). But the thing won't start. I don't even know if it posts, because I have no video output. I tried dvi on the gpu, hdmi on the gpu and hdmi on the Mainboard all with the same result. I removed every single part except the cpu and after every part I removed I tried it again, still no picture. I'm clueless :(

Typing this on my smartphone, sorry for typos

Won't start as in no display output or the PSU doesn't start?

Psu starts fine, lights are blinking, but my monitor always claims that there is no signal. Unfortunately this mobo doesn't have an 8 segment post display, so I can't tell if it posts..

Only thing I can say is that one led above the 24pin atx stays lit (possibly dram post led)

May sound stupid but have you pressed the 'source' button on your monitor?

Do the fans keep spinning or do they keep turning off and on?

Did switch through all sources ;) fans do keep spinning

Edit: found the nasty: apparently the mainboard didn't like my mushkin ram, so I had to put in some decade old corsair domis...

Yes the LED above 24pin cable is ram related.
Double check that the CPU power cable is plugged in.
Also did you use all standoffs when you installed the motherboard? you might have take the motherboard out of the case and try again

Well, it posts now, I can even get into windows setup, but my hdds aren't detected (and don't even spin up)

Edit: ok hdds work now aswell... Didn't realize you had to Jam them in like a mothertrucker. (air 540 hot swap bays) thanks for your help and sorry for your time wasted
