having this issue where my monitor loses signal in game when under specific load and you can still hear the game in the background and speak to people in chat. It also does it when I run timespy.

It started beginning of last week, when ot first happened I stripped the system and put it all back together and it ran fine again and now the no signal issue has started.

I noticed some warnings in event viewer one says app crash dwm.exe and another mentions pcie root

I have tried a new cable
I have tried all ports on monitor and gpu
I've ran ddu and reinstalled driver

I am running an rtx 3080ti in a lian li q58 with pcie 4.9 riser 13600kf, 32gb ddr5 7000 coolermaster 850w sff psu.

Have you tried putting the GPU in Slot 2? it will drop to x8 but still interesting to see if the stability problem continues.

Have you tried without the riser. I've had terrible luck (or I am just terrible with them) as never been able to get a riser to fully work with my GPUs.

So i few days ago set up the whole system outside the case and it worked, I tried outside the case with the riser cable and it worked so put it all back together and it worked and then suddenly didn't.

I got home today and decided to take the gpu out loosen the riser screws a little so it could move with the card to ensure its fully seated and I have loosened the tension on bothe the I pin pcie cables and at the moment it's working again. I'm now running timespy stress test to see if it's all fine.

I'm very tempted to ditch the lian li Q58 and grab a 2000d so I can remove the riser cable out of the equal as its another point of failure

Ok it did one complete stress test run of timespy I clicked for a second run and boom it happened agajn

Could very well be a faulty riser cable.
