Hey, I want to do a bios mod to my card, which i've only done once to up the voltage. However someone else on another forum i browsed had an edited bios whereby he increased the voltage and loosened the memory timings. However this was for a 6800XT

The stock ram timings that this guy had, was exactly the same as the ones which appear on mine. i.e.

timing 0 : 04080E0C

timing 1 : 05030405

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

timing 6 : 00000114

My question is, if i change device + vendor, and reduce stock speed which it starts to the original default ( because he had it set to 350 memory, 700ddr, and mine is only 270)

then can i use this bios, because of the ram timings ? Are things like pipes/ locked pipes done through "device" and "vendor"

Guess I got confused! So apparently im using timing set 6. I'm clueless, I think more research is in order for me

Flashing the card too the bios from 'that guys' may work. On the otehr hand it may not. Make sure youve got a spare GPU about so youve got a chance of flashing back too the original. Its a risk but it may work.

No, clocks and timings have nothing too do with device or vendor.
