New to Folding

I'm a new folder and yeah it's going OK BUT I've been having a slight problem with SMP.

The GPUs have been folding fine...really well infact, BUT the SMP has been stuck at that for ages. I don't know how long exactly but a bluddy long time. The GPUs are progressing well, CPU not so. I'm on an overclocked 4.1GHz 1090T.

Help ?

EDIT: Just checked how long, been about 40 minutes since it moved at all.

CPU has been at constant 100%

As long as the percentage is going up it is working sometimes it takes a while for it to turn green but it's nothing to worry about it happens to me too.

That's what's worrying me though...the percentage isn't going up. It went up to 2 percent, yes, but it hasn't moved from 2 percent for *checks* about an hour now.

Click on SMP and see what it says next to ETA, some WUs can take up to 16 hours so the percentage won't go up that quickly.

ETA says "0d 00hr 00min" -.- :S But anyway...percentage just went up to 3%.

I just remembered it doesn't give you a ETA till it turns green, my bad

As long as the percentage is going up it should be alright, some WUs a long time to do so progress will be slow i'm half way through a 9 hour one and the one before that was 14 and a half hours long. Just give it time it should be alright.

Also don't forget to get your passkey and put it in the box under tracking settings

)GPU0 is only 3 hours (god) away from the first completed WU so not TOO long.

Noticed you are folding the 5870`s.They are kicking ass in x-fire when gaming,but sucks folding.My advise,stop them folding,and you should hit 11.5-17k ppd with the 1090T depending on wu.With that wu6020 ,467 points,TPF(time per frame) at 4.1ghz should be about 3min5sec,not 40min.The ati-cards uses to much processor

and two is killing.

Thanks! Took your advice and disabled the folding on the GPUs and am now 6% @ 2,032.7 PPD. It's almost exactly the same as you said, cheers dude

You are in the pipe 5 by 5

,ppd should rise to 16k> ppd
