New Project (help me out)

Ok guys, please don't think i'm thread crapping but i have decided to start bringing a plan in to action. I call it more of a challenge.....

Phil and his engineer (i presume he meant Fatty) have said that you can't fit a 120.3 and all the rest of the gubbins inside a lian-li V2100, so being the muppet i am... I am taking up the challenge of trying. So what i need from you friendly chaps is the parts to use. I need the following kit:

Rad = 120.3

CPU block = ???

Gfx block (x850xtpe compatible) = ???

Pump = ???

Res = ???

Tubing = ???

Fans = ???

Now the important part....

It must be as near to silent as possible while still maintaining good performance (must be able to do 3ghz on my fx55). I also want it so that all you'll be able to see through the side window is tubing (preferably good looking UV tubes), and all you can see from the front of the case is the res (if a bay res is used).

That's my challenge now give me some food for thought. I want this to last me a while and be good enough to cool a dual core 4800+ which i will be getting as soon as they are available.

P.s. i must still have room for the components in my sig, i now have 8 hard drives though.

fit the rad in the area below the mobo either on the side panel or to the bottom with the fans blowing out the bottom it can go there:)

just saw the bit about 8hdds still may get em all in :)

Rad = 120.3

CPU block = swiftech 6002

Gfx block (x850xtpe compatible) = maze 4 acetal or silverprop fusion HL

Pump = AQX 50z or swiftech mcp350 for more silence

Res = your choice

Tubing = UV stuff form pgil, or buy some tygon 7/16" from phil and grab some hydrx additive for green UV anti corrosion and fungi protection (hydrx is great additicve, i hate purple ice and water wetter)

Fans = panaflow L1's 120mm, 38mm thick

its more to do with them being 38mm thick why they are so good, the extra thickness really does help produce much more air pressure to get air throught eh dense fins of the 120.3, 25mm thick fans will suck in comparison even with equal cfm ratings

the panaflow fans are the best imo, i use M1's (medium) and at 12v are very loud, but at 7v are quiet :)

the L1's are bit less powerful but also near enough silent at 7v, tho at the moment all it appears you can buy is M1's which imo are better for raw power, and still nice and quiet at 7v

i use 3 of them on my 120.3 and they are ran at 7v all day

Heres my tuppence, for some of the components anyway, for what its worth.

Fans: Aerocool Turbines 12V, 37CFM, 19dB

OR Evercool 12cm. "<30dB" 79CFM, 12V as well. Tho these will prob be too noisy.

CPU block: DD TDX

For a res, I use a coffee jar, I dont see the point in paying £15-40 for a plastic box/tube...

I like my T-line and fill-port,saves space and doesn't restrict airflow

Silver Storm G5 - the best waterblock bar none.

I havent used a T-Line, I've always preferred a res personally. Where do you have your fillport Thicky?
