New Mouse + Mat

hey guys, im buying a new mouse and mouse mat for xmas and theres just so many different opinions. firstly i was going to get the diamondback and then i was persuaded towards the ms3.0 and now other mouses are being reccomended to me. what you guys think i should get???

oh and which mouse mat too

I'd get an Icemat V1 or 2 and a Logi G5

read a rather extensive review of every mouse worth looking at yesterday but i cant remember where it was, the MX500 came out top by a fair way, followed by the MX518

Mice are quite personal things imo...so if you can go somewhere and try them out I'd advise doing that.

I much prefer the G5 to the MX500/510

I have a diamondback and a QPad XXXL

I have had quite a few mice and mats tho.

I had a Steelpad 4S which went shiney after using it for 6months with a MX-500, also the hardness wasn't very comfortable.

I wouldn't really recommend a hard mousemat since having problems with the steelpad and getting the QPad.

I also really like the diamondback in comparison to my previous MX-500 and Intellimouse Explorer v2/v3.

I'm using a mx518 and it's a fantastic mouse, I'd imagine anything above it (G5, G7) would be as good, if not better. Logitech ftw!

I bought a Logitech G5 and S&S Steelpad back in the summer, took me a good few months to get used to it and get the weight exactly as I wanted it but now it seems perfect.

But yeah as Kempez says, different mice for different people really. You'll need to see what suits you.

Here's what my steelpad looked like after 6months of constant FPS gaming:



Over 6months the mat wore out and was shiney aswell as wearing thru 5 sets of teflon pads on my mx500.

But I think mice are pretty much dependant on the person as kempez said. But the diamondback for me is nice because it is light and good for those flick shots on FPS games

Logitech G5 has my vote for the mouse definitely. I'm using the cyber snipa right now as a pad but I feel as though it isn't quite big enough.

i bought a logitech g5 and a cyber snipa mat.. the mat isnt that great.. the ice mat is much better.. and the g5 is the best mouse i have ever used.

I have the G7 and love it. Worth the money if you want wireless. My mat is a piece of paper taped to my desk

I would go for the G5, I love mine and it fits perfectly in my hand previous to it I had the MX510 which was another great mouse
