Tagan as well. I sold my PCP+C 510 for a Tagan 580- I wouldnt be doing that if I thought I was gonna lose performance.

Do try it with the PSU you have. Nothing will get broken that way- the PSU will cut out to stop anything getting damaged due to too much current draw. I`m slightly out of touch with ATX revisions on PSUs and how the connectors are split across rails (working on finding out) I guess its possible that a dual-rail PSU can handle a 12V compressor, on top of the rest of the draw from the computer components, but I`m about 90% sure it wont.

K :)

Kenny,

Thanx for reply...

Thing's are on hold at moment as wife has decided she wants a pc now - maybe this is an excuse to get a decent power supply and her to have the hyper - lol ???

Matt

Got the urge to fire the unit up tonight, hehe....

Had to correct a fault with the wiring and the display, but once sorted it went to -41 unloaded in around 2 mins and the head had a nice frosting.

Used an old 300 W Antec power unit that is showing 10amps on the 12volt rail.

Matt

Mav,

Wife is nagging :( for a new system so I have put the unit on a certain auction site - am not sure if I can mention it here or not.

Once I get her sorted I think it's time to save up and get a decent power supply and a GT off Phil. In the mean time I'm going to get my water cooling setup installed and read up more on these phase systems.

regards,

Matt
