My project - posibly very expensive project

2 other air coolers that OC'ers rave about on other forums are the Thermaltake Big Typhoon and the Scythe Ninja. I got myself a TT BT but haven't installed it yet so can't give a true opinion.

Good morning all.

I have been looking at a review on the case that I am planning to get.

It all looks good but I have seen one thing that could become an irritation more than a problem.

Clicky

(this picture is off a review site)

Anyways as you can see there doesn't appear to be much space for hiding away the power cables. The HDD will only mount into the case sideways therefore, the cables have to be posistioned in this messy manner (see above).

At the moment the current side design hides this but should any modifications decide to wonder into the case, it would look a bit rubbish!

Yeah the case is a bit tight but the only way to get more room is to either get a bigger case or mod it :)

I edited the image to a url link as it wasn't working (god knows why)

Cheers, I noticed.

As you can see I have changed it to a nice clickable link, much more favourable to the guys with their speedy 56k - do I get brownie points from the 56k(ers) Lol

:D

HDD: I would say that the WD is a decent HDD but don't see the point of a 500gb SATA drive when you can get 2 x 250gb drives and put them in a RAID 0 array - meaning far faster performance and a total disk space of 500gb

Kempez, you mentioned this earlier on.

Is there any info to hand about doing this?

cheers

RAID is a nice easy thing to do. If there is any vital data, my friend thinks it's a good idea to have an extra drive and set your comp to backup every night. Modding is a nice thing. Just recently modded 2 120mm fans into my side window (one over CPU, 1 over gfx) and I dropped idle and load temps by about 3*C :D
