IF the GTX does retail for around $400, I wouldn`t personally call it a traditional GTX- to me it would be more of a 9800GT, although maybe not by name, and would still hold out for the `real` GTX of sorts to appear - whether they call it Ultra or whatever.
$400 is approx the release price of the 8800GT, so it would make sense.
Who they think ran that 3dmark test AND on that mobo, and using what drivers ? There beta ones available ? I know devs get a funky disk with new betas on them.
It likely isn't fiction but I doubt those scores will ever be repeated. Scores so close that they yell bottleneck and the card needs better drivers anyway.
I don't think theyll be too much. I can see the 9800GTX which is just 800GTS 512 being a bit more, say $50ish, and same goes for 9800GT which is 8800GT repackaged.
I would say that GX2 would be double a single core card but 3870x2 stuffs that up, so maybe 1.5x price of a 9800GTX?
