ionicle's project 4000!

someone sugested to me that it might be my power unit, suplying both my graphics card and my processor with not enough voltage, that might be causing such crap 3dmark scores....any ideas on that people?

I have a 420w Enermax powering a helluva lot more of a demanding computer, prolly almost 2x the power...you should be fine then.

Ian. 3x 7200RPM HDD's, 2 of which are SATA and RAID'ed. X800GTO @ X850XTPE, heavily modified and overclcoked. Venice @ 2.6GHz, 1.55v. Sound blaster live, compro tv tuner, msi neo4 plat, 2x512mb geil golden, nec 48x cd-rw, nec 16x dvd+rw..

my computer runs cirlces around yours, every which way...& it whores the power w/CCFL's and LED fans.

right...i'm at 2.7GHz stable:D

and the temp is at 44*C under full F@H load

i'll try for a bit further

it seems the ceiling is 2760MHz, the ram wil go further as i hadit at 270 x10 to test, but it wont go further than that, i had to put the memory down to 2-3-3-7 its now at:

it utterly REFUSES to go any higher, beleive me i tried

well have you worked around with ram timings? A64 tweaker at all?... you should be able to hit fragteks overclock easily regardless of whether your on air or water

ian your ram goes to 300mhz with the right patience and settings. if bourne ahs the patience will you he will help you get evry last mhz out of em

beleive me i tried, the processor wil NOT go another MHz, or not stable..i am only at 1.5V though....how much voltage can a san diego take?

leave the cpu as it is for the moment, just tweak the ram

by tweak the ram you mean...what?...timings?

and i made a discovery, the ram on my 3000+, i found out usin CPU-Z is at 2.1V, and 4-5-5-14
