Oky im looking for some good in wall speekers for a project. I need them th be no larger than 12" each.

Any one used them before and any one know wich the best are. Got £200 to spend £50 each speaker.

The music being played is from classical to rock. There wont be a base speeker so it need to be able to produce good sound just form them.

Any one have any advice.

Ive seen these -> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emphasys-IW...tive=10522&linkCode=waf&tag=inwallspeakers-21

Wich is a little over budget but i tink if no one knows then ill just get them.

Just because I'm pedantic, Speakers*.

They look like a good deal there, I've never actually heard of in wall speakers before and I know a lot about speakers!

yeh there are not for me there for a person whom im building a juke box for but since i no naff all about speakers just thought id as as this will be places on eitehr side of the juke box that allso being built into the wall.

Ah right fair enough. What's their budget then? As I said: the kefs are reasonably priced and Kef make excellent loudspeakers :)

+1 To that, Kef make some really quality loudspeakers. You should really just get some Kef Reference speakers, and a nice amp and cd player. Better than a jukebox anyday.

The buget for the whole build is 1500.

So far ive spent £1000 on parts wich sounds alot but considering all the parts are high end inculding a car amp and proper power supplys that have been strippied and HS added to them to make sure they do not over heat the budget is going quicly.

I can spend between £200 to £300 on the speakesr but that would be the max. I how ever need to make sure there good as the system needs to sound like its had that sort of money spent on it.

The idear is there is a black glass pannel on the wall that looks like is just there but as soon as its turned on you see its not a glass pannel but a smoked screen for the jukebox. The screen cost alot of money as its black smoke tft with electro sensors not wire ristive.

The screen 19" and the whole system play music vids , music ect ect,. There is no input devices as its all done via wireless and blue thooth.

The whole system sits out of the wall by 2mm (needed for venting). the speekers will go either side of it built into the wall as well.

Like everthing i do its a one off for a mate to impress the girles lol....

That sounds very impressive mayhem! But I would still have gone down the route of a really nice stereo setup :P If it's bluetooth does that mean he will be able to play music off of his phone?

to be honist consider s decent steiro system is £500 to £700. this has no wires showing, better than a ipod, 2 TB of music and vidos on a touch screen interface. Blue tooth to download the music to his phone and other things, wireless for internet look up of music tracks and updateing the system. A normal just box systems cost about the same about but is no wre near as cool as this. + he has money to waiste lol.

Lol A proper stereo system costs a lot more than that :P Luckily my parents were real music lovers and loved listening to music on a proper stereo. I had the pleasure of using this also. They had two Ruark Excaliburs, four talk electronics amps (two for each speaker), talk electronics pre-amp for the master control, Meridian CD player (which also has a pre-amp) and finally ridiculously expensive cables that had gold connections and actually did make a difference to the sound. Whole lots cost about £16,000 about 8 or 9 years ago. The sound, it can be said, is simply astounding.

I also got a chance to listen to some speakers that were made of granite, costing around £80,000. It was hilarious watching the two guys try and wheel them in. Unfortunately sound systems have moved away from this (big shame) so what you are doing here is really in with the times. You gonna be posting pics when it's finished?

Agreed with silvarice, a good stereo system is a huge amount more than you're whole budget and would sound much better too. No offence, but I've heard some of the best and mine at home is not too bad for a lower end setup ;)

lol. way over budget lol.

Ill see once its fitted if he will let me take pics once its all done and decorted afterwards. weatehr he does or not is another matter.

how eve as for music and expensive i would not have a clue what a expensive system sounds like mys elf. never been a massive one to listen to perfect sound lol.

As long as this guy is happy with what i build him wich to be honist is just a box with every thing neatly shoved in ill be happy. :) ...
