I'm switching teams... Hello AMD !

The only thing making me want to wait on Steamroller rather than buying a 990FX motherboard now is incase new revisions of motherboards are released with improved performance.

The main differences, if they do release new revision motherboards will most likely be PCI-E Gen 3 and native USB 3. I'm just wondering if there will be any significant improvements to the chipset its self.

I think i'll just wait for a bit before I decide, i'm in no rush to upgrade to be honest, I just want new toys to play with :D
Nothing is really confirmed so who knows what'll play out over the coming months.

There is a version of the Sabertooth 990FX with PCI-E 3.0 support. Its something i wouldn't mind myself for the sake of futerproofing my rig, but buying a new motherboard in the future is no biggie.

As for toys, I can confirm the 8350 is a fun one to play with. :p

PS4
8 Cores Called Jaguar, With a GPU in the middle of it.
What's more. Jaguar is actually what they'll be using the compete with the Atom.

He gone for good.

He was a good member but when hes in the wrong hes very chilish and just argues and argues. Some of us cant be bothered when we have to teach someone years of experience just because someone cant listen.

He was warned before, hes been banned a few times. This time however the other mods and admins had enough of him and all the reports we got about his posts and attitude.

Warnings were never going to happen with him anymore and he has been officially ousted and is not our fellow dj anymore.

Plus tbh anyone thinking Alienware is epic really doesnt belong here anyways :D
But anyway, you're right though. And as mentioned before, he can always join anandtech's forum if he wants to rage.

Yep, Hope it transitions to mainstream.

The Kabini reviews are looking good. It's absolutely kicking the crap out of the Atom. Intels next Atom will be where the competition will heat up.

Although whats interesting given the consoles have essentially the same CPU is that any console developers are going to have to get to terms with multithreading if they want to eek out any performance out of the CPU of the PS4 and Xbox One.

Urgh. Even saying Xbox one sounds really, really wrong. I'm not giving microsoft another chance with consoles. I went through 3 '360s and they all broke in various ways (pre jasper chip goodness). Ps3s weren't any better mind.

Also, for the record Alienware cases are not too bad in terms of cooling and build quality. I also quite like the ugly look of them as well . Its just what goes inside an Alienware I have issues with and the daft pricing. Want to go see big numbers you've never seen before? configure a Alienware on the site.

I managed to get it up to £5k on the site. I then went to another equally despicable company (cyberpower) and by maxing everything out managed to hit £13k. This is a fun game :D

Well considering the PS4/Xcrap will both be using modified chips it's not directly comparable and can be much faster than the PC version. It can only get so much faster before needing to change the architecture to something of higher end.

It is the same architecture so it should be relatively comparable in terms of CPU performance to what the current Kabini reviews are showing.

But the developers should be able to eek out more performance out of it than what one can muster on the PC, I gather one has direct control of the hardware on the consoles. On the PC you're at the mercy of DirectX and drivers.

If I remember right at the Xbox one reveal they commented about new APIs giving devs full access to the hardware.

They mostly look like the original Phantom. But somehow they manage to eff it up with unnecessary crap all over.

For the record I love the phantom.
