IDNET Max broadband

OK cheers I'll take a look tonight.

Had a good talk to Simon about this the other day. Basically I think it'll be great for early adopters but then get worse as the exchange gets more loaded. That is: until BT then upgrade each exchange again :)

eek, upgrade the exchange again :S

knowing BT, they only upgraded them slightly last time. knowing that they would have to upgrade a year or 2 down the line. Great business thinking by BT as usual.

So your downstream attenuation is: 34db

Downstream noise margin is: 25db

and finally your line speed is: 2272

The site that was posted gives you the following results;

A crude estimate of what your line is capable of is 8192kbps (kilo bits per second).

looks all good :)

Ohhh.... though I doubt somehow that my exchange will be enabled straight away (though I do get 1:1 contention, which is absolute bliss even on 1mb) I'd like to check if my line can handle it, but don't know how to get the stats.

My router is a Belkin F5D8230uk4 (The Pre-N Wireless one).

You must have a different modem or router etc, as the Belkin is only a router and not a modem, so therefore won't give line stats ;).

Duh! So it is /me thwaps self for being stupid.

My modem is a Linksys ADSL2MUE ADSL2 Modem. I have it in bridged mode, so knowing my luck I'll have to change the IP address on my router or something to access it.

Can you help?
