Asus EXGTX470 for $250 @ Best Buy. I went in to get a 570 or 580 but they didn't have them and the price was nice so I couldn't help myself.

It shall be folding soon!

Congrats and quite the upgrade from that 8800GT. I probably would have grabbed a GTX560 for the same price, but their performance is roughly the same anyway.

Nice Purchase

keep an eye on Microcenter in Madison Heights too

Zotac 470's are 239 and 570's 339

I7 950's are $199

I gave my roommate my 8800GT with the stipulation that he let it fold when his computer is just sitting there. So, hopefully with this 470, my x4 and my 8800GT I may hit 20k+ PPD.

This 470 folds SOOO fast lol

I know my PPD has Taken a Severe hit since my 470 fan broke and is in for RMA however Tonight will be a big boost again as my 560 Twin Frozr is in transit and will be at home waiting for me when I get home from work around 6.

I'll be benching it first; than Folding Full Out

I am just doing my homework while it's benching lol.

For some reason though, my card isn't working with afterburner. It seems like it's not detecting the card properly. It displays what it is but I think the temps are off. It also isn't letting me change the voltage, but the Asus software is. I may have to update my afterburner to get rid of this issue because the asus tool kind of sucks!

Here is a 3Dmark 11 Bench: X1413

And my best (so far) 3Dmark 06: 19296

I know I can totally push 20k with this in 3dmark 06, as far as 3dmark11.. maybe 2k?

Yea I had issues with my 470 Twin Frozr & 460 TOP I'm running a beta version of afterburner and it seemed to correct the issue I can't remember which revision it is though and the Asus program is different to work with that's for sure

In afterburner you have to go into settings and check "unlock voltage control" to allow changing of volts.

Done. Pushing now. 775/1550/1720 @ 1.087v = 19,358

What does ur card(s) do? I'm looking for a goal.

At 1.087v you should have no problem getting 800 core 1600 shader. I used to bench at 830 maybe 835 with a single card, but in SLI I can only run 800 in Vantage with 4.4GHz on CPU. In 3DMark11 though I can run 810 on the cards and only 4.2GHz on CPU.

Edit: The memory on my card overclocks for crap. I bench it at 1700. I don't know if my new card is any better, but a lot of the early 470's found their max at 1700.
