I picked something up today....

At 1.087v you should have no problem getting 800 core 1600 shader. I used to bench at 830 maybe 835 with a single card, but in SLI I can only run 800 in Vantage with 4.4GHz on CPU. In 3DMark11 though I can run 810 on the cards and only 4.2GHz on CPU.

Edit: The memory on my card overclocks for crap. I bench it at 1700. I don't know if my new card is any better, but a lot of the early 470's found their max at 1700.

I am starting to wonder if my PSU is struggling with this. It hard locks if I push it past 800. Maybe I need something stronger than a tx650W?

I would think a good quality 650w would be plenty for an overclocked 470. How are your temps? When I up the volts I set fan speed to 100% for benching.

Temps are way low. I haven't heard the card spin up on it's own yet. I set the fan speed for 75% when I oc it and bench, but not while folding. It doesn't seem to ever get past 75c and idles at around 40c. Cooler than my old 8800GT...

It does around 8-13k PPD according to the F@H tracker. It usually completes at least 1 gpu3 WU every 3hrs. My CPU has been getting crappy 2kish work units though, no idea why.

Nice purchase matey

Mine do (both MSI GTX 470 FRZ) 800/1600/1850 FAH 24/7 stable.. 15K! PPD ...

benchmarking most likely a tad more......

BTW if you have a GTX460 and a GTX470 in one rig and you can't adjust voltage for one of them ,

try the beta version of MSI Afterburner which will do both then

Well, with this 470, my 8800GT and my Phenom II x4 I think I am going to be pushing 20-30k PPD.
