How to stop things stretching

Hi Guys

well my other half has his third monitor setup, and surround gaming is awesome, But how can you stop webpages etc stretching over all three screens, Windows only detects the monitors now as one big screen instead of 3...... I have tried using Ultramon, but that seems to do the same as windows etc

We have 2 monitors plugged into 1 x 480, and one monitor plugged into the other 480, by DVI

Please help guys as its an awesome setup

Thanks

Hay

is there a way to turn off surround gaming? it sounds like it's treating them all as one monitor for gaming but there should be a driver option to go back to independent screens.

I think it depends on how you have the monitors setup.

If you set it up so the start menu is on a primary monitor I think it should treat each one as a seperate entity and maximise the window to a single monitor but if you have the start menu bar stretched it also stretches the windows

Used to have that problem and just ended up making the start menu stay on one of the screens so autocad could maximise on one and remote support on the other.

(This was using nvidia gpu + drivers)

There also used to be a option in nvidia drivers to have a secondary maximise button on every window so one maximised to 1 monitor and other maximised to all

Thanks Guys

He has decided only to use 3 monitors for gaming, and when he is working, he changes the resolution to just 2 monitors, and switches back and fourth...

To keep changing the resolution, won't do any harm will it?????

OK i have gone into Nvidia CP and Activated all screens which turns off surround....... but now windows detect 3 seperate monitors, so he can work off 3 monitors now, which I know he will be chuffed about, but this option disables SLI is that right?

I guessing you switch back to surround for games etc???

Sorry guys abit of a nOOb at this
