Help me diagnose a problem

had my PSU sleeved by someone, and ive recieved it back and plugged it all in and stuff, the motherboard lights and ROG motif lights up as it did before, but upon pressing on, nothing happened, the cpu fan jolts slightly and then nothing!

i checked all the cables are settled in properly, removed both my GFX cards and re-seated memory, checked the CPU power headers are connected correctly!

what else can it be?

I've no idea then mate. My PC did that not long after i got it, fans were going the lot just nothing happening after and all it took was a cmos clear :/.

Did u ship the cables only or the complete PSU? Damaged in shipping?

Try to get a PSU on loan just for a startup-test. If system works with other PSU - u need to adress the issue with shipping co. or the one who did the sleeving.

Do the paper clip test on psu to see if the psu powers on

done all that, the psu doesnt power up with the paperclip test, its all packed and ready to be sent back to the company that done the work for me, more than happy to take a look at it

Lets hope they haven't got a cable wrong and fried your MB !!

Which company did this for you ? And PSU did you send them ?

well mobo seems to work, as the lights light up as soon as 24 pin is connected,

It was Pexon, ive spoken to him about it, and he is happy to look at it again, andhasnt charged me a penny, so thats fair of him, it was a Seasonic X-850 Gold i sent him
