So, here we are guys. Just wondering what I should do about my block? Here is what it looks like with only 2 months! of use, tried to clean it off,but doesnt seem to come off at all...

Only used distilled water, 2 drops of mayhems green dye, and 2 drops of mayhems biocode.

Thanks!

dear me that does look bad for a new piece of kit.
have you spoken to ek yet ????

Yes, I agree. Am going to contact them, just after anyone can shed some light on anything i can do to clear it up a bit? We will see, does EK replace them directly? or do i have to send it back to where i bought it (performance-pcs) Which would both be a hassle (ek&ppcs) as i live in new zealand, so wonder what shipping would be like!

I would keep quiet about what fluids you used when you speak to EK,they blame EVERYTHING on fluids....

Can you pull a couple of fittings from some where else in the loop and check inside?

Oh, thanks! I will say I am using one of THEIR coolants ;)

Yup, Supreme HF block (non EN) plating is still good!

Looks good and clean, not even a cloud on tubing...
Even when emptying the loop theres no little speckles of anything

Very strange. I'd recommend contacting EK about this definitely. If I had to guess based on these images I would say the block you received did not go through all the steps required for plating it correctly and that has caused what you are seeing here. But this is just my guess I'm by no means an expert on corrosion.

only got to max 30c, havent gamed in a while, been too busy!! So say 24c has been its max temp for 2 weeks?

EK strikes again...

^^This.

After reading about some of the horror stories a couple of months ago with the bad plating they did on a lot of blocks and then blaming customers and trying to wiggle out of RMA's,I would not touch them with a barge pole.

Those are the Nickel plated ones? wow that is awful, it looks like there is none left at all! Im so glad i didnt go for an EK block now...

EN means nickel plated, right?
Seams like something acts with it and i doubt it would help to clean it as plateing is cone and "metal" is left(looks to me so).
So if you get new one, you should find reason for it firsth and then install it back. Because i belive it would look exacly same in time.

in their defence i have a ek 480 nickel block in front of me and it looks a lot better than that but it is bang out of order

Damn...I know there used to be problems with EK's older water blocks but I thought they fixed the issue.
