GTA IV Stucks

Hello,

THIS is my new pc. I've just installed gta iv, everything worked well but when I wanted to play the game, everytime I was taking a turn with my car or looking around my fps got stucked for about one second so the game was hardly playable.

I checked eveything on settings, even tried on a lower resolution so I got only 500mb busy out of my graphics card 1000+ and it did the same.

How can I solve this problem?

I use tune-up utilities 2010 and Norton Internet security 2010.

If I try to play anything else it works on max details without any problem.

hmmm try and disable tune up and your antivirus ,but that card should run it no problem,

I tried without the antivirus and optimizer but nothing, but I saw something:

the game stucks only when I mess with cars, if I walk, the only problem that may occur is for the game to crush, also I could bench the game for 20 sec and I was on a bike, no stuck happened.

I opened fraps and my fps while walking is 40 to 60 but when I gen into a car it is 3 to 30.

The 500mb used out of the max is for draw distance, last time I checked mine it used about 864mb/1024mb. The bigger draw distance the more ram it uses.

If it's fine when walking and just with a car have you tried reinstalling and have you got any mods for it?

I had similar issue, when it's raining and really stormy - driving lagged. Walking was fine I'm guessing due to rendering speeds.

I usually just go for an hours kip in the many safehouses and get up when the weathers better - I work in the rain don't want to play bloody games looking at rain!
