graphics seems odd

Hello i have recently notice some problems in my Wow, i have a GTX 470 ( is not OCed ) over a year old, i don't know if it needs a clean or finaly an upgrade..but when i was in high places with shadow, my FPS would drop to 48 then it would go to 60 when not in heavy shadow places..then i put the shadow on low and it still plays up the FPS

any help would be great.

i had this issue with my old 4890, in the end, uninstalling wow and reinstalling fixed it, something to do with blizzards dodgy patches
