Good phone deal?

Plain and simple - my k800i is OLD

cant really comment on if you'll like it in 2 years time. i couldnt tell you if i'd like it in 2 years time, but i love it now. Not too sure about the unlocking side of things, i bought mine sim free for £230 and plan to go on o2 simplicity.

Have most phone companies gone towards 2 year contracts ?

It's ****ing ridiculous if you ask me. I look after my phone (N95 original) and it's lasted its whole 18 month contract and an extra 1. It'll be 20 months old when I start a new contract when the N97 comes out end of March. Fact is even with me taking care of it, it doesn't look anything like new and throws a wobbly on occasion.

These devices just aren't designed to last 2 years plus in my opinion. That and the fact that even after a year on your contract, if you look at what contracts are on offer, you can see you're getting royally butt knobed. I look at what's on offer now compared to what I'm paying and it's just depressing.
