She wouldn't have had any proof of anything anyway other than her racist rhetoric, There were no other clients in the building and all the trainers wanted her out hence the female trainer coming over and throwing her out, She didn't hurt her or anything, Just pushed her arm up a bit and walked her out as you could see she was about to get physically violent because she couldn't have something for free.

If he was Irish then he wasn't a gypsy, He was a traveller, Gypsies in Europe are mainly eastern European as Gypsies are an indo-european people.

True, but the irish accent does give them the branding of irish Gypsy. They take the boat from Swansea over to Cork. And vice versa

Might be a FML thread, but lets not descend into "that" type of conversation. TTL has a reputation to protect along with good moderators.

I don't think you understood me.

All the time you keep banging on about something, or using it (like the race card) all you do is make people aware it exists. Children, for example, are not born to hate anything. Yet they pick it up and they learn it.

If you play the race card to gain some sort of advantage all you will do is make people aware of it. That is what I was saying, so you can stop the panic.

What we need to do is stop making children aware that they are different. Teach them they are all the same.

I disagree about teaching them they are all the same. Heavily.
The best thing is to teach a child good morals. Teach them right from wrong. When it comes to political BS teach them that everybody sees the world differently and that's fine but to keep there head straight and not be influenced by others. Worry about your own child. Don't try teaching them all the same thing. Otherwise we grow up with a bunch of failures in life.

As for the FMl thread.

My power has gone off 2 times yesterday due to weather. I've lived here all my life and never had it go off more than once. But this time the weather is bad. I am currently having winds at a 'calm' 30mph with gusts of winds ranging from 40-60mph and they are getting stronger. On top of all that California yet again is on fire lol. Half my valley has flames on the hills and mountains I can see from my house. Got smoke everywhere. It's pretty bad. I've only ever lived through the fires being worse once for where I live. What makes this so bad is the wind is knocking power lines down and keeping from people from watching local news about updates, and it's picking up the fires and moving them into unpredictable areas. All fire fighters have been summoned paid and volueenters, they have said it's 0% contained and it's pure chaos with the wind. So it's not looking good for most of Southern California.

Anyway might not be on much. Not sure if my power will remain on as it has flickered multiple times as if it's turning off. That and in case of evacuation which other towns have gotten I need to be ready to go.

Dear god, I nearly threw my rad in the bin ffs. So back when I put it in I fitted these foam gasket things. They were just ordinary foam, to seal the fans against the rad. Turns out it was a bad idea to seal it up that much, as it basically ended up compacting dust in there. Any way, go to remove the gaskets and JFC they were almost impossible to remove. I tried rubbing, scraping (with a plastic scraper) and alcohol and white spirit. Nuh uh, would not budge. Seriously, these things are like mastic.

I even submerged the rad in really hot soapy water and still they refused to budge. So I finally struck upon the idea of adding heat. Which worked, and I used a hair dryer on full blast. It took me nearly an hour to get it all off, with the best method being to use an alcohol soaked rag *and* tons of heat. This is how hot it was.

So now I got two nice big blisters. One on my thumb, one on my pointer finger, which is bad enough right? nah. Earlier I managed to slice open *another* finger with the scalpel. I even got blood on the lining of my new suitcase FFS. (that is where the plasters are). Any way, I finally stop it bleeding and then pick up a motherboard and get the underside of the board to rip it back open again.

But we are not all the same and that's a good thing, Ants are all the same with no divisible differences, Humans are not ants, We come in a lot of different races, Teaching people of all races to appreciate other people regardless of race would be the decent thing to do.

Could you not have soaked it over night ?

Nah it wouldn't have worked. I *think* it has some sort of chemical makeup where it basically sets with heat. And once set it needs a ton of heat to get it back off. I left it soaking in hot water for nearly an hour, didn't even touch it :(

Ah well, it is done now.

Also FWIW? if you teach people they are different then they will follow different religions, etc etc. Do you see the problem there dude? it's basically the cause of every war.

The way I see it no matter what colour, race, etc you are we are all human. We are born the same, we die the same, and we bleed the same blood and have all of the same body parts and features.

The reason people are different colours is due to climate, and where you originate from. Animals adapt to cope with their climate. Just like how certain animals have ditched their tails and grown thumbs, and things have evolved to cope with their circumstances.

It's just evolution.

So whilst it would be pretty sterile if we were all the same (because we are, really) it would certainly stop a lot of wars and etc.

Yes and no, Caucasian people actually have the most Neanderthal DNA out of all races, African peoples have little to none, Same with Asians, Far east Asians, North and South Americans, Although some Asian peoples have DNA from another humanoid race, The name of which escapes me at the moment.

This is also why the majority of the worlds strongest people are Caucasian thanks to having that DNA, Although nowhere near the fastest.

There's a hell of a lot more to it than simple climate differences, I'll dig out a video later and post it, Really interesting stuff and completely debunks the thought of "we're all the same" in reality it's quite the opposite, We're all compatible yes, But not all the same.

And it wouldn't matter if we were all clones with the same shade of beige, Humans would find anything to make war over.

Thank you!
Fires seem to be going away from my town now. Wind has died down A LOT and it let the firefighters really get a solid line down for the fire to not cross. Although the wind is supposed to pickup again towards the end of Sunday night, so hopefully they get a strong foothold before then. From Friday night to Saturday morning the biggest of the 3 fires more than tripled in size. From burning 10,000 acres of land to 35,000 acres of land. It's nuts.

Side note. Lost my internet from my ISP. My whole town with my specific provider lost internet connection from them for 26 hours. I only got it back up and running for about 4 hours now.

Good to hear your safe, If it picks up again though get out.

Thanks fellas. I'll be fine but I appreciate it nontheless. Wind came back sooner than predicted, but sad thing is they have found 25 bodies now and thousands of homes were burnt to a crisp. No one knows how the fires even started which is the crazy thing.

So woke up this morning to a fire in my town. No idea how it started as all the major fires are moving away from my town but it started and as someone who lives near the edge of town, I could pretty much be in my house looking at the fire on the hillside. It was pretty intense. Had helicopters flying over my house and some small fixed wing aircraft flying towards the mountain side putting flames out. Fire jumped multiple times because of the wind but the emergency responders really kicked it into high gear and got the whole mountain side out within an hour and a half.

Was pretty intense. Had evacuation orders coming in for people closer to it. I would have been next but luckily don't have to leave. I personally believe it was an arsonist but it's not confirmed yet.

What a way to wake up lol

Madness. Stay safe man. Sounds like bedlam to me.. I had a dream about it last night (fire and living in Cali) weird eh?

Is it hot out there at the moment? we had a really hot and dry year here.

Friend of mine just had to go to Cali to evacuate his dad, Seems Cali is a bit of a wildfire hotspot.

Nope not hot. Doesn't need to be hot for fires believe it or not! We get our major "fire season" from end of September-early November. And for California that's fall season which means 21-24C. Weird as you'd expect it to be hot to start fires lol
Reason we get it bad is because we have been in a drought for like 30 years and Southern California has crazy winds. So dry humidity and dead wildlife = fire galore.

Dude California has fires every year since like forever lol
We had a super bad fire season this year. We had one in the beginning of summer that was truly awful, definitely out of the norm for that to happen but it's so dry and dead that it's not surprising. Caught everyone off gaurd. However this current major fire in the actual season, has gone on for almost a week now. It's definitely outside the normal season and the reason is because the weather hasn't changed. We've stayed in the same temperatures and the winds got stronger and then we've had no rain for so long now. It just took a little longer than normal for it to start but once this Woosley fire(the name they gave it) started man did it burn.
Over 100,000 acres burned, ~400 buildings destroyed, 25 confirmed dead, 200,00+ people evacuated, etc.
That's just one major fire out of 3 btw.

Only positive that comes out of it is since we have so many massive fires our emergency responders are very experienced in the chaos and whatnot. Very well trained people, always calm, never hesitate. It's kinda a community thing that when we get major fires restaurants and places offer free food and drinks for them to rest. Often times they are working 72 hours straight fighting fires, climbing mountains and hills to save homes.

It's funny how quickly I forget just how different living in the USA is. Like, the poisonous animals, rabies, hurricane season and everything else that goes along with it.

Every year in NJ we would have really savage winds. One of them took down a tree, which landed on three cars (lucky tree lmao).

Hardly any of that in the U.K. We've had some strong winds lately, but the last hurricane I can remember was in the 90s.

Where I currently live in southern England there's a hurricane of smack heads and chavs :D
