Yeah AMD cards use like 3 cores of you're CPU. We need Stanford to release a fix for this.

Given the poor PPD on the ATI cards, what is actually done on the GFX card it it uses 3 CPU cores ?

Also, Stanford have said that their main platform is the V7 client now. So I wouldn't expect any updates outside of that from now on.

Im not sure, they improved it a small bit. With the V7 client I now get 7500PPD but thats still far off the slower GTX460.

Well it used to. It eats like two now. It uses a lot of cycles from the CPU so that pretty much cripples two of the cores.
